Signalling Engineer

Calibre Rail is a leading specialist railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.
We are seeking applications from highly motivated and eager individuals to fill the role of Signalling Engineer.
- This position:
-
- Working in an integrated multidisciplinary team contributing to various multi-disciplinary projects to deliver safe and efficient rail systems
- Assist in development of Signalling design solutions though calculation, drawing and reasoning
- Producing signalling scheme sketches and reports summarising findings for making recommendations
- Preparing Train Control system architecture layout as part of the design development activities
- Preparing technical input and defining signalling principles in order to meet the hardware build requirements for projects
- Analysing test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Meeting project timescales on deliverable and;
- Providing additional support for Construction Site Management team.

- To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:
- 10 years minimum relevant experiences on train order working and signalling system, set-out design and design criteria;
- Knowledge of ATP and CTC over cable / fibre / radio and ATO/In cab signalling; and
- Electrical engineering or railway signalling engineering degree
- The following skills would also be desirable:
- Experience in Rail Signalling design, verification and production experience in Control Tables, Signalling Scheme Plans, Bonding Plans
- Understanding of the standard Signalling & Interlocking principles and it’s application
- Understand the process of signalling desig and ensure that quality assurance procedures are followed. e.g. configuration management & controls and;
- Able to multitask and respond to short-notice changes.
