Calibre Rail is a leading specialist railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.
We are seeking applications from highly motivated and eager individuals to fill the role of Engineering Manager.
- This position:
-
- developing the business strategy to promote the organisation’s recognised engineering competence and market advantage
- selecting, developing and deploying engineering expertise to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with budgetary and quality requirements
- planning, allocating and coordinating resources and projects in an efficient and effective manner
- developing all engineering standards, systems and procedures within the organisation
- developing and managing the financial resources of departmental budgets
- liaising with other members of the organisation, with project teams and with clients to promote the company’s market position
- managing the engineering function in a professional, efficient and profitable manner.
- To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:

- Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline
- Significant engineering design and consulting experience
- Relevant management and leadership experiences, including direct line supervision
- Demonstrated business acumen and experience in strategic planning processes.
